My first impression of the Android

Never owning an iPhone or any other type of smartphone, I decided it was time to step up and buy one. I decided to purchase the Droid phone from Verizon in mid-January. My first thought was “WOW!” I now understand why everyone loves this phone. However, I do have a small problem understanding why everyone thinks this is the iPhone killer. I am sure tons of people will enlighten me on it. The first thing I did was to scan all the apps that were available in the Google Market. I was extremely impressed with what was available free or close to free. The one thing I was disappointed was the file management system. Although there was several free file management, they all seem to lack the user friendliness and a few utilities I think it needs. I also notice that I could not find an easily add component for a file management. Therefore, I have decided to write my own. During the process of writing my own file management, I will also write a pedometer to test my file management component. I am going to try to write both of them as components. This should be very interesting. So, follow me on my big adventure of writing them both.
